Lara is an ST5 in Severn, having moved to the Southwest after training in Sheffield. She was one of the trainee representatives to the EMLeaders National Faculty and Steering Group with the programme completing in 2021. Having been on the EMTA committee for a time she moved into the Secretary role in March 2021 with the aim of focusing on compassionate leadership.

She now sits on the RCEM Safer Care Committee and the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges. She is working on publicising the RespectED campaign and collaborating with other specialities, professionals and wider NHS organisations to do this.
